The laboratory offers a full array of equipment and services: state-of-the-art microscopes and equipment, microscopy and analysis services, microscopy training, experiment support and planning. It devotes extensive efforts to controlling and maintaining the performance of its equipment, user support and the development of digital image analysis techniques. Our research centre is one of only a small number in Canada that provides Biosafety Level 3 (BCL3) cellular imaging (spinning-disc confocal/TIRF microscope), allowing real-time imaging of cells of patients infected with HIV and HCV. Our services are available for university, hospital and industrial researchers.
