Temerty Centre for Therapeutic Brain Intervention

Centre for Addiction and Mental Health (CAMH), Toronto, Ontario
What the facility does

Clinical research program looking at novel brain-stimulation treatments in treatment-resistant disorders

Areas of expertise

The Temerty Centre is home to one of the world’s most talented concentrations of clinicians and researchers working to develop and perfect non-invasive brain-stimulation treatments for people with depression, bipolar disorder, schizophrenia and other disorders of the brain and mind. Here, next-generation techniques are producing physiological changes in the brains of people with serious and persistent mental illness, effectively relieving symptoms with significantly fewer side effects.

Research services

Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (TMS), TMS-Electroencephalography (TMS-EEG), Electromyography (EMG), Co-Registration, Magnetic Seizure Therapy (MST), Repetitive Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (rTMS), Transcranial Direct Current Stimulation (TDCS), Cognitive Testing
