Landmark Graphics Visualization Facility

Memorial University of Newfoundland, St. John's, Newfoundland and Labrador
Area(s) of Expertise

Landmark Graphics Visualization Facility is a large-screen 3-D imaging facility that uses the Landmark software suite, which allows researchers to create 3-D representation of data, from geophysical surveys to models of molecules. University, government and private-sector R&D companies can use the facility or collaborate with Memorial researchers. The facility’s primary clients are the oil and gas exploration and production industry.

What the facility does

Creates 3-D representations of geophysical surveys and other data, primarily related to oil and gas exploration and the geophysics field, seabed mapping and data analysis

Research Services

3-D visualization, Modelling, Simulation, 3-D imaging, Geophysical and petroleum surveying, Pharmaceutical design, Mapping, Data analysis, High-performance computing (through Compute Canada’s HPC resources)
