The Food Innovation and Research Studio (FIRSt) is a real-world accelerator, housed at George Brown College and staffed by industry experts from the food and  beverage sector, that helps form partnerships and leverage the innovation resources of business, government and academia.

Research Services

Product development, including concept ideation, recipe development, prototype development, shelf-life optimization, formulation development, and plant trial support; customer insight and testing, including consumer focus groups, sensory panels, shelf-life assessment, theoretical nutritional analysis, and market assessments; and training and workshops, including on-site corporate training, in-house training, and customized cooking demonstrations.
