Lab for Image Guided Medical Procedures

Carleton University, Ottawa, Ontario
What the facility does

3D motion tracking and dual energy x-ray imaging for image guided medical procedures

Areas of expertise

We are developing a novel technology that can perform precise 3D tracking of a  target, such as tumour or surgical instrument, during the medical procedures. We also developing dual energy x-ray imaging to access soft-tissue motion of a patient.

Research services

3D motion tracking of a target inside an enclosure,  X-ray imaging,  X-ray CT scan

Equipment Function
Surgical X-ray c-arm Capable of doing X-ray imaging and CT scan
PeTrack A 3D motion tracking system based on positron emission.
