Mobile Research Laboratory

Centre for Addiction and Mental Health (CAMH), Toronto, Ontario
What the facility does

Research on mental health and addictions in rural, northern, First Nations and high-risk communities

Areas of expertise

As Canada’s only mobile research lab dedicated to studying mental illness and addictions, the Mobile Research Laboratory is equipped to conduct biological, behavioural and social research, with wet lab facilities, interview rooms and workstations. As it is typically stationed in small communities for several months at a time, the lab enables researchers to develop strong collaborations with community experts and to demonstrate the value of research to community members.
