StemCore Laboratories

The Ottawa Hospital, Ottawa, Ontario
What the facility does

Supports high-throughput genomics projects including those requiring DNA sequencing, next generation sequencing, single cell analysis, and cell sorting

Areas of expertise

StemCore Laboratories operates with a dual mandate: to support high-throughput “omics” projects and to provide research-enabling technology to the local scientific community. StemCore is a Platform Affiliate of the Ontario Genomics Institute and is committed to the values of research excellence, collaboration, trainee education, and innovation. Our vision is to build maintain a stable infrastructure for genomics research by seeking out projects that are challenging, cutting-edge, extend the boundaries of biological knowledge, and will positively impact human health. We actively engage in and are highly supportive of grant-writing activities aimed at securing funding for high-throughput genomic studies utilizing the advanced genomics technologies present within our laboratory (DNA sequencing, next generation sequencing, and single cell analysis). We will work with you to provide letters of support and proof-of-concept data and will participate in collaborative grant writing upon request.
