Harley Lab

The University of British Columbia, Vancouver, British Columbia
What the facility does

Ecology and biology of marine invertebrates and seaweeds, climate change

Areas of expertise

We study the effects of climate change and other stressors on benthic (bottom-dwelling) marine plants and animals. We have facilities to study the effects of warming and ocean acidification on these species.

Research services

Invertebrate and seaweed culturing, temperature and carbon dioxide manipulations

Sectors of application
  • Environmental technologies and related services
  • Fisheries and aquaculture
  • Ocean industries
