Imaging and tissue processing solutions for transmission electron microscopy: biological sampling, cellular biology, ultrastructural imaging and anatomical quantification
The Transmission Electron Microscopy (TEM) Core Facility at the University of Ottawa provides unique imaging (TEM and electron tomography) and tissue processing solutions for your research, in partnership with CHEO’s Electron Microscopy Laboratory. The TEM core is at a strategic location, on the second floor of the Roger Guindon Hall (Faculty of Medicine) between the General Campus and the CHEO. The TEM Core houses the Ottawa region’s only TEM optimized for biological samples. Our JEM-1400Plus (120 kv) features high resolution/high contrast imaging, 3D electron tomography and montaging. It is also cryo-ready for future investments. Our microscope is equipped with a top-of-the-line, ultra-fast Gatan OneView digital camera (16MP). Brightness is ensured by a Lab6 filament as emission source. There are only 6 similar machines in Canada. Take advantage of this unique resource to bring new dimensions to your research!
