Liquid Chromatography - Mass Spectrometry (LC-MS) Facility

University of Waterloo, Kitchener, Ontario
What the facility does

The facility researches advanced pharmaceutical therapies, developing mechanism-based bioactive molecules through an integrated approach.

Areas of expertise

Dr. Praveen Nekkar Rao’s research involves diversity oriented synthesis of small molecules and peptide libraries as potential agents to treat diseases such as Alzheimer’s, various types of cancers and other inflammatory conditions. The research is transdisciplinary and includes computational chemistry, synthetic chemistry, analytical chemistry, biochemistry, pharmacology, pharmaceutics and pharmacokinetics.
