Embedded and FPGA-Based System Design Research Lab

University of Windsor, Windsor, Ontario
What the facility does

Embedded and Field-Programmable Gate Array (FPGA)-based system design research (hardware and software)

Areas of expertise

FPGA-based power efficient hardware acceleration for High Performance Computing (HPC), high level synthesis (HLS) for FPGAs and automotive embedded systems, especially for autonomous vehicles (AVs) and advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS). FPGA-based system design for real world applications in Automotive, Networking, DSP, etc. Computer-Aided-Design (CAD) algorithms and tools for FPGAs and multi-FPGA systems. Field-programmable gate array (FPGA)-based system design, hardware and software design for automotive embedded systems, large scale software development for diverse application areas in electronic design automation (EDA) and computer-aided design (CAD), high high-level synthesis (HLS) for FPGAs and power efficient FPGA-based hardware acceleration for high performance computing (HPC) targeting applications in machine learning, advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS) and autonomous vehicles (AV).
