Bio-Industrial Process Research Centre (BPRC)

Lambton College, Sarnia, Ontario
What the facility does

Collaborates with industrial partners to support the development of bio focused technologies and processes

Areas of expertise

As a Technology Access Centre (TAC), the Bio-Industrial Process Research Centre (BPRC) collaborates with industrial partners to support the development of new and optimization of existing bio focused technologies and processes. The BPRC provides access to expertise and state of the art facilities to conduct technical services, applied research and customized training for biotechnology companies in support of building the Canadian bioeconomy.

Located at Lambton College's Centre of Excellence for Energy and Bioindustrial Technologies, the BPRC has over $5M in infrastructure located in a Fermentation Lab, Bio Analytical Lab, Material Testing Lab and Material Processing Lab. In addition, the BPRC provides pilot plant space as well as access to experienced research leads, researcher associates, research assistants and research students.
