Research on methods to utilize geophysical/geological data to discover, model, and visualize the 3D geology of Canada and better understand Earth processes
Integrated geophysical and geological research to enhance the understanding of Canada’s three dimensional (3D) geology and related fundamental Earth processes. Specific areas of expertise include 3D or 4D seismic data processing and analysis, induced seismicity studies, magnetotelluric data acquisition and modelling/inversion, 3D geological modelling, and advanced representation, visualization, analysis and dissemination of geoscience information.
Three dimensional geophysical and geological interpretation and visualization.
Collaborative projects are treated on a case-by-case basis. Criteria for collaborative projects include that the project is aligned and contributes to advancing facility strategic goals and that it is closely aligned with current Geological Survey of Canada program.
