Mechatronic and Robotic Systems (MARS) Laboratory

Ontario Tech University (University of Ontario Institute of Technology), Oshawa, Ontario
What the facility does

Research in the areas of mechatronics, robotics and automation, and optimal design.

Areas of expertise

The Mechatronic and Robotic Systems (MARS) Laboratory conducts research into mechatronics, robotics and automation, and optimal design. The lab’s primary focus is the application of advanced kinematics for the control of redundant manipulator systems including joint redundant arms, redundantly-actuated parallel manipulators, and mobile-manipulator systems.

Research services

Contract research and development in the areas of robotics and mechatronics. The lab has played a significant role in numerous industrial projects with Cameco Corporation and Ontario Power Generation.
